So, just starting to put BZII onto my laptop again after being away from it for a while, downloaded the one off these forums, installed and everything. But when I try to launch it I get this.

Not really sure what it all means (About 11:42 pm right now, lol) But I have encourntred something similar before when crashing on startup, never really bothered bringing it up though.

was wondering if there is any way to fix this, please help.

Did you install the DirectX 9 update? Check the Battlezone II/Redist Folder and install everything there.

what mase says, OR download and install the needed DirectX 9c from the source directly here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... aspx?id=35

chances are you have the other needed prerequisites installed (c++ redistributables (05,08,2013) .Net 3.5) and the error you posted references DirectX.

The second step in the following link, takes you to the BZ2 1.7.2 update, which should automatically install ALL the prerequisites unless you cancel it (c++ DirectX etc). It wouldn;t hurt to run that update (1.7.2) which is the version most of us play.
